Wild Botswana
Botswana — Not at all the most popular country among tourists, although it is here that travelers have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with true Africa — what it was before the arrival of Europeans. Wild animals still remain the owners of Botswana — From the desert Kalahari to the huge reserve Mashatat.
Familiar to us on the fairy tale of the Chukovsky River Limpopo proceeds in the southern part of Botswana. But the main water artery of the country — This is a completely different river, Okvango, which forms inside Calahari, an unbarrous delta, abundant creatures. There are lions, cheetahs, hippo, zebras, giraffes, antelope, hyena.

The country has the world’s largest elephant population, over 120,000 individuals. It is noteworthy that African elephants are more aggressive than Indian, and do not leav for training. So watching them better from a respectful distance.
And Botswana — Paradise for bird lovers. Here you can meet up to 600 different types of feathered, including unique rare species, and hundreds of thousands of migratory waterfowl. Favorite place of the latter — McGadicagadi, an ancient salted lake, which exceeds the size of Portugal (about 7300 km²). In the rainy season, it is filled with water and represents a truly beautiful sight. Then here you can see not only numerous flocks of pink flamingos, but also our domestic birds that fly to wintering from Russia.
