City without sun
One of the most powerful civilizations of ancient Greece was a Mycenaean, who strengthened on the Peloponnese Peninsula. Another Homer described rich cocks, drowning in gold. According to Homer, as well as the tragedy of Eshil "Oresta", The city of Mycena was founded by the ancient Greek hero of Persem – the son of Danai and Zeus. The Perseus dynasty was conquered by Pelops, the son of Tantalum (demon from the underground kingdom). It is believed that the well-known Miktena Tsarist family went from this very Pelops. The next item of the program is an epidaurus located 30 km east of Nafplio, the ancient capital of Greece, one of the most beautiful cities of Peloponnese. However, as the legend says, the hedge of the medicine of Zeus did not obey and sometimes crawl out of the ground in the form of a snake to open up all new secrets of healing. Since Asclepius was God, the process of treatment with the ancient Greeks was perceived as a divine process. In the epidavre was located one of these "Medical centers", where the priests not only brought victims, but also used patients. Medicine from religion in ancient Greece separated only hippocrates.
And the divine treatment has nothing to do with modern. Whatever the disease, the patient was primarily planted on a strict diet of beans. Promiting the patient a few days, he was given a laxative, made from the grass, brought specifically from Crete, then forced some narcotic drugs to swallow and placed in a dark room in the basement, where the so-called sacred snakes of Asclepia were launched -. In the same sanctuary there is a huge banquet hall, where the holiday of the Eskulap has been held in the Ancient Roman times.
Meeting with Malvazia
Roman period History of Greece, as you understand, does not end. One of the most glorious her pages is the Byzantine times, the monument of which is another city on Peloponnese – Monemvasia, or, as Europeans called it in the XIII century, the legendary Malvasia. Monemvasia Fortress is located on a huge rock separated from Peloponnese by a narrow cage, followed by a modern geographic town.
