Two thousand years ago Roman emperors loved all sorts of performances. That is why today in many countries of the world you can find large amphitheators preserved to this day. Moreover, some of them are still used by appointment.

Arena di Verona

Built in the first century, Arena di Verona in Verona, is one of the most well-preserved ancient constructions of this kind. As in all similar amphitheaters, there were no time for gladiators and battles with animals.

Amphitheater Pula

Amphitheater in the city of Pula, in Croatia is one hundred preserved amphitheators with four main towers.

Built between 27 g. to N.NS. and 68 g. N.This is used for the ideas of the modern theater, military rituals, public meetings and musical concerts.

Amphitheater in Nimea

This amphitheater is in the French city of Him. The outer facade consists of 120 arches located on two levels. Inside there is an elliptic area: 133 meters long and 101 meters wide, which accommodates up to 24,000 spectators.

Today, the amphitheater is used for various film festivals and musical concerts.
