Sihanoukville (Sihanoukville) – City on the coast of the Siamese Bay in the south of Cambodia, the main sea port of the country and the developing beach resort. Located 230 km south-west of Phnom Pen. Population – 89,846 people (2008).
The city arose in the 50s of the 20th century, at the beginning as a port, and later the elite resort (until 1970). After the end of the Civil War, since the 1990s, it develops as a sea beach resort, hotels are being built and tourist infrastructure develops.
There is nothing particular in Sianville, the main local attractions are beaches and nearby islands (with good diving conditions).
One of the local islands – Koh Puos (Snake Island), located 800 meters from Victory Beach, belongs to our investors. A sea bridge from Hawaii Beach is open to the island and the construction of an island resort continues.
Sihanoukville beaches are not so crowded, as in many Thai resorts, except for weekends and on holidays. It is also worth noting that the beaches are pretty dirty, as the garbage is not always cleaned and not often.
On the beaches there are scooters, bananas and unpretentious water slides.
Beaches (from northwest to southeast):
Victory Beach — South of the trading port, a lot of cheap guesthouses near Weather Station Hill.
Hawaii Beach – Southern Victory Beach.
Independence beach – Next to the 7-storey Hotel Independence Hotel.
Sokha Beach – The whole beach, except for 100 meters, belongs to the hotel Sokha Beach Resort.
Serendipity Beach – Northern Ochheuteal Beach. Guesthouses right on the beach.
Ochheuteal Beach – The most popular beach. Many restaurants, bars and just food sellers.
Otres Beach – south of Serendipity, the least developed and least Ludid Beach.
The city is associated with Phnom Pen – National Highway number 4 (230 km), with Campot – National Highway No. 3 (100 km).
