Salt Lake City (Salt Lake City) – the capital and largest city of the State of Utah (Utah). The city is located on the US West in the south-east coast of the Great Salt Lake (Great Salt Lake), after whom got its name, literally translated as «City in Salt Lake».

Followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, abbreviated LDS) led by his leader Brigham Young (Brigham Young) founded the city in 1847. The influence of mormons in the region is very high, although the percentage of adherents of this religious direction is gradually decreasing.
