House of two saints

Not far from the street Dekumanos, in the southern part of the old town on St. Maur, there is a small stone house with an arched entrance dated by historians as the building of the XV century. The famous and popular monument of the old house of the two saints became from–For the reliefs of two sculptures on the facade on the sides of the window on the second floor.

Both sculptures are on small pedestals, under which cats are depicted. Historians and architects attract a way to fix statues on the house – Apparently they were embedded in the construction process. The structure of the structure is defined as Romanesque because sculptures are clearly belonging to the XIII century. At the same time, the overall appearance of the building wears bright features of the renaissance architecture.
