I have long been dreaming to go to Lake Baikal, but somehow everything does not work. That time is not, then not with anyone, then prices for tickets go there. I hope in the future still to fulfill my dream while I propose to go to the photo trip to this miracle of nature.

Baikal – Lake in the southern part of Eastern Siberia, located on the territory of the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia.

Lake Baikal extended 620 km from northeast to southwest. Its width varies from 24 to 79 kilometers. Maximum depth – 1642 meters, average – 745 meters.

This is the deepest lake on our planet, as well as the largest natural reservoir of fresh water, and one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

A total of 27 islands on Lake 27. The largest of them – Olkhon (length – 71 km, width – about 12 km, Area – 729 km²).

Coastal territories of Baikal I have a unique climate. Winter here, as a rule, is a little softer, spring is delayed for 10-15 days compared to surrounding areas, summer is a bit more cool, and autumn is often quite long.

In general, the district of Baikal is characterized by plenty of sunshine. For example, in the village a large hoody sun shines up to 2524 hours a year, which is even more than in our Black Sea resorts.

Special features of the Baikal climate are also due to the Baikal winds, each of which has the name itself – Barguzin, Sarma, the Ripper, Cool.

The bulk of tourists arrives at Baikal from the city of Irkutsk, located about 60 kilometers from the lake. These tourists go mainly to the village of Listvyanka, after all it is he who is closest to the city. But this is still not the real "wild" Baikal, for which it is worth flying here 5 hours from Moscow.

It is believed that the pristine beauty of Lake Baikal is better to observe in its middle and northern part, as well as on the east coast from Buryatia. And it is better to do this at the very beginning of summer, until there is no cluster of tourists.
