Finds discovered thanks to Necod
In the cultural layer, as the Czech writer Karel Chapek used to say, you can find American oven, tomb Attila and Sivallins Books. This is something else – sometimes the earthly finger is unexpectedly exposing bombs, underwater forest, corpses that have accommodated in trees, and even. Deposits of pork sala, preserved since the Second World War. And all this thanks to the rains and hurricanes.
For several decades, the inhabitants of the small Scottish town of Saint-Cyrus are already on the coast of the North Sea in the UK, may not be afraid of hunger. At least in bad weather. After all, during the storm on the coast throws round slices of pork sala. With the form they look more like dinosaur eggs than the usual spike. Probably because they took the shape of wooden barrels, in which they lay for many years.
And this manna appears (or rather, the Heavenly Salo) began at the time of World War II, after the aviation bombs were pleased with the merchant vessel and it sank off the coast of Saint-Sairus. Then the locals and began to find the appetizing pieces on the shore, which were for them the most real gift in the hungry war years. Moreover, the townspeople claim that fat is suitable for use and today. Despite the layer of the sewer covering pieces, it is perfectly preserved.
Venus without a head
In December 2010, a hurricane fell on Earth. The waves of the Mediterranean reached more than 10 m. Literally all regions of the country were injured. But the coastal city of Ashkelon, that in the south-west of Israel, even won – found an antique statue.
On December 14, one of the locals walked around in the area called Afridar Barnea, as suddenly saw the oblong item similar to the statue. Archaeologists have determined that marble sculpture with a height of 1.2 m, apparently depicts Venus. True, the goddess did not have hands and heads. That quite symbolic – the goddess of love is still.
The most destructive hurricane in the history of the United States – "Katrina" – swept over the country at the end of August 2005. He fell 1836 people and left the ruins – New Orleans and Louisiana was almost completely under water. But some use, if this is generally appropriate here, from "Katrina" was still. Hurricane "Skinny" sand from the bottom of the coast of the Gulf of Mexico on the territory of Alabama, exposing the primitive cypress forest, which is under water for 10,000 years. Well, like a forest – stumps that were once slender trees. The trunks themselves, of course, could not stand for so long.
And anyway, this is an amazing find. After all, due to the thick layer of sand, which covered flooded trees, those were able to survive at least partially. They say, if you make an incision in the wood, you can feel the smell of cypress. The diameter of some stumps reaches 2 m, and age judging by the annual rings, – thousands of years. Such a find will allow scientists to understand how the climate in these places changed for many thousands of years.
Bombs on the beach
In 2014, strong winds were rushed over Misty Albion. As a result, the top layer of sand on one of the beaches – a favorite place of rest of the British appeared as a result. Under the sand lay 244 bombs, which remained since the second world. However, only a part of them were revealed first. In the following days, as wind enhanced in the English, the Royal Navy came all new reports of newly discovered "hellish cars". Those bombs were disposed of, but there is no guarantee that the wind managed to "find" them all.
