Cities of Hungary: Eger

Ski resorts are located in the north-western district of Hungary. In a beautiful valley between the Mountains, the Eger is located 130 km from the capital, one of the most beautiful Hungarian cities with Baroque architecture, which preserved medieval layout and many architectural monuments.

In the Middle Ages Eger Fortress (XIII B.) gained fame during the fight against Turkish conquerors. Today, most premises of the fortress turned into a museum. V Episcopal Palace (XVI-XVIII centuries.) works Memorial Museum. Ishthan Dobo, governing the famous defense of 1552. On the second floor of the palace there is an art gallery, and in underground rooms, protective equipment and lapidaria are preserved. There are a separate prison exposure, a mint (where you can ventilate a coin personally), unique wireless tires and wine cellars "Ishpotai".

Every year, in the last week of July, the fortress is held historical tournament "Fun Border Fortress" with knight rhystal and musical and theater program.
