Cities of Azerbaijan: Baku

Baku – the capital and the largest city of the country, stretched on the shores of the Bay of the same name, located in the southern part of the Absheron Peninsula. The whole old part of the city is one extensive historical and architectural reserve, sometimes called "Baku Acropole".
