Millstatt (Millstatt) – the largest resort on Milshtetter-Ze, located in the northeast of the lake, in the intermountain brass. Millstatt is a kind of resort center, where the main cultural events, including festivals, holidays, costume shows and concerts occur in the summer season. Millstatt focuses on a calm family holiday, so there are no round-the-clock restaurants and bars in the resort.
Its main decoration, if not counting the strings of old villas, long rebuilt in hotels and private mansions, is the abbey based by Benedictine in the XI century.
Beach
Millstatt Coast is divided into small areas owned by hotels. The beaches of the resort are walking in the lake wooden platforms, quite wide and spacious. You can go down to the water on the stairs. Part of the coast is a classic sandy beach, with a wide lawn, equipped with children’s venues and water slides.
Accommodation

Millstatt is predominantly three- and four-star hotels, designed for family accommodation. In many hotels, nanny services are available around the clock. Most hotels are occupied by the built vintage Habsburg villas and private mansions rebuilt under hotels.
How to get
The nearest airport to Millstatt is located in Klagenfurt (90 km), travel time is about an hour. Airport receives flights from most European capitals. Charter flights connect Klagenfurt and Moscow in the summer months, from July to August. Getting to the Klagenfurt from Moscow and St. Petersburg to the no-season can with a change in Vienna. The airport is associated with the city of bus service; Flights are carried out every half hour from 06:00 to 23:00 from the main station and from Heiligengeistplatz Square.
