Cities of Austria: Millstatt
Millstatt (Millstatt) – the largest resort on Milshtetter-Ze, located in the northeast of the lake, in the intermountain brass. Millstatt is a kind of resort center, where the main cultural events, including festivals, holidays, costume shows and concerts occur in the summer season. Millstatt focuses on a calm family holiday, so there are no round-the-clock restaurants and bars in the resort.
Its main decoration, if not counting the strings of old villas, long rebuilt in hotels and private mansions, is the abbey based by Benedictine in the XI century.
Millstatt Coast is divided into small areas owned by hotels. The beaches of the resort are walking in the lake wooden platforms, quite wide and spacious. You can go down to the water on the stairs. Part of the coast is a classic sandy beach, with a wide lawn, equipped with children’s venues and water slides.
Millstatt is predominantly three- and four-star hotels, designed for family accommodation. In many hotels, nanny services are available around the clock. Most hotels are occupied by the built vintage Habsburg villas and private mansions rebuilt under hotels.
