Lying 35 km to the east of Düsseldorf City Wuppertal (Wuppertal) is quite young – it was formed at the beginning of the XX century merging several settlements at once. He acquired sad fame, by May 1943, when the bombing of the allies led to the formation of the so-called "Fire Maddle", practically turned the city in ash.
